We don't believe in faceless high-speed factory conveyor belts. Our shoes are made in small, specialized collaborative clusters in Kolhapur, Kanpur, and Agra.
By paying fair artisanal wages (often 40% above the local industry average), providing ventilated spaces, and scheduling sensible hours, we ensure our master craftspeople can craft each shoe with the ultimate dedication and pride.
Ethically sourced full-grain hides.
Cheap, plastic-coated bonded or corrected leathers are strictly forbidden in our workshop. We source exclusively 100% full-grain calfskin from certified local tanneries in Chennai and Kanpur.
These tanneries utilize closed-loop water treatment systems and natural vegetable bark extracts for dyeing. This produces pure leather that remains incredibly durable, breathes, and molds specifically to your foot’s unique pressure points.

Most modern shoe brands stick the sole to the upper using fast industrial glues. Within a year, the glue cracks, and the shoe is thrown in a landfill.
Ghalia Hidhaa uses Blake Stitching construction. The upper leather, inner lining, and sole are physically stitched together using high-tensile waxed linen threads. This provides unmatched flexibility, requires zero break-in period, and allows the shoe to be completely resoled by a local cobbler decades down the line.

We don't use simple flat chemical spray dyes. When you order a Ghalia Classic shoe, the raw crust leather is carefully painted and burnished by hand using dynamic, layering natural creams and waxes.
It takes 6 separate layers of hand-burnishing to achieve the deep, signature dual-tone espresso and tan gradients. This ensures that no two pairs are ever identical—each is a unique wearable work of fine art.
